Dialetic
path between ideas
The atelier opened in Lisbon in 2014.
It works on projects of different scales, from a domestic scale to a territorial scale. The aim of our proposals is to create a Dialectic between the reflection on the programme, functionality and use and the importance of the materiality in the relationship between people and the space and the creation of areas intended for different types of people. We never regard the space as a rule but rather the person, i.e., each project is unique as it is a response to the clients’ wishes and sometimes achieved through a conversation with the clients themselves. The project is always the result of the fusion between affective memories – those of the client and those of the architect.
Analogic Architecture
The atelier seeks to take full advantage of the infinity of architectural possibilities as it is imperative to work with digital systems. Architecture cannot be limited to its means of representation and should whenever possible be experimental to achieve and to propose surprising environments. The path we follow allows us to make unusual discoveries due to the way we use the media and the material which is decisive for the final outcome. This is the path we wish to follow but does not finish in the building but in life. It is through architecture that we wish to make proposals of life.
